My designs have always been inspired by traditional crafts. The collections for Sangraha Sat́ (सत्) is a dialogue with Indian Culture and semantics. I looked at the Ayurveda, Herbs, Ikats, Tughrakari and linear patterns of Kasavu and Ilkal sarees. My fascination is old handwritten manuscripts with handwritten letters.

Vaidya
Medicinal Herbs have been part of vernacular knowledge existing with our grandmothers. The sheer variety of forms and colors has always fascinated me so I have tried to capture some of it in products imitating their forms in embroidery.

Kasavu Strokes
The linearity of border and stripes of Kasavu fascinates me with the sheer contrast of white. The contrast strokes and flow of sarees has been imitated with contrast of embroidery stitches that are arranged in a linear pattern on products.
